Remembering Friends in Our Community
Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you.
I can’t believe the hopes He’s granted,
Means a chapter in your life is through.
But we’ll keep you close, as always.
It won’t even seem you’ve gone.
‘Cause our hearts, in big and small ways,
Will keep the love that keeps us strong.
From “Forever Friends” by Michael W. Smith

“Tracy was proof there definitely are angels on earth.“

Shar McLaughlin
1967-2023
Shar’s favorite quote: “Perhaps the time we spend worrying if we will have enough time in the future to do all the things we want to do can be spent looking for things in the present moment that awaken us to the point of forgetting about time altogether.”
Project31 meant a lot to Shar and her sister Darsha because it was something they did together. They never wanted to be in the “Breast Cancer Club” but were glad that they had each other and their friends in Project31 to help them know that they were not alone in the fight.
Kay Herring
1935-2023
“Project31 saved my life 7 years ago. I was in such a deep depression. I don’t know what I would do without Project31.”
– Kay Herring

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.” Psalm 91:4
“I chose my faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jesus suffered on the cross for me! I am alive by the Grace of God. I will not take my last breath until the Lord calls me Home. I am thankful for every minute I have here on Earth. I love my family and my friends.”
